Squarepoint Capital is hiring a PCG Automation Developer (Python) to design and develop automation solutions for production operations. You'll work with Python in a Linux environment and create dashboards and test frameworks. This role requires 2-5 years of software engineering experience.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, and 2-5 years of experience in software engineering. Your hands-on experience in software development, tooling, and automation has equipped you with the skills necessary to thrive in this role. You are proficient in Python, particularly in a Linux-based environment, and have a solid understanding of UI/UX frameworks and best practices. Your eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop alongside your team is evident in your work ethic. You possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
While not mandatory, experience in the Capital Markets domain and Funds management would be a plus. Knowledge of C++ and kdb+/q is also beneficial, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices. Understanding AI/LLM concepts, including tokenization and prompts, as well as frameworks like OpenAI and LangChain, will set you apart.
In this role, you will be part of the Production Control Group Automation (PCGA), where you will design and develop automation solutions to support production operations. Your responsibilities will include creating dashboards and user interfaces, developing test frameworks for functional tests, and implementing order-sending solutions for pilot trading. You will also work on AI/LLM-driven solutions and other automation tools aimed at improving observability and reliability while streamlining production control processes. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of production operations, making your role crucial to the team's success.
