Job Description

In this role, the candidate will be working for the Hardware Validation Engineering (HVE) team on post-Silicon hardware system validation of next generation Mac systems. Our Engineering Team is responsible for architecting methods to test new system hardware with the macOS environment to catch issues early in the hardware life cycle. You will be a key technical and logistical contributor and will use your in-depth software knowledge to enable testing on new silicons and system architecture.

Description

As Software and Infrastructure manager, you will lead all aspects of a team of engineers and technicians creating and managing test automation capabilities for large scale system level validation. You will work closely with the engineering and program management organization to plan and facilitate testing of Portable and Desktop Mac programs thru out their development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. 3+ years of experience leading people 5+ years of experience working in Test and Automation Experience in programming with focus on Python and web technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in pre-silicon or post-silicon validation SW Tools environment Knowledge and understanding of Test automation technologies and implementation. Large scale testing and lab management. Code revisioning, review and CI primarily in Gitlab Excellent communication and partnership skills

Responsibilities

As a manager you will be responsible for leading the lab and the engineering teams Managing web based tools for data collection, analysis and test execution that scales with multiple lab locations and system testing needs. Defining Lab and Infrastructure HW and SW needs and working with internal and external teams to develop and maintain these capabilities. Engaging with other teams to evaluate existing tools and integrating into the environment where applicable. Managing lab operations including unit and facility configurations across multiple geographic and lab locations. Coordinating the lab team and the engineering teams to enable critical validation activities base on system build and software enablement schedules.
