Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Semiconductor Supplier Quality Engineer to manage quality and reliability standards for semiconductor components. You'll leverage your expertise in data analysis and project management to drive improvements in manufacturing processes. This role requires extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing and supplier quality.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing. Your background includes at least 8 years as a semiconductor manufacturing, product, or test engineer, and you have a strong focus on supplier quality. You are comfortable with technical leadership and project management, and you possess excellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholders.

Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field. You bring 12 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering specifically for hardware technology and systems. With 10 years of experience in quality/reliability and semiconductor IC technology, you are well-versed in data analysis related to quality reliability.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of hardware experiences, ensuring unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration in Google's products.

What you'll do

As a Semiconductor Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for setting and managing the quality and reliability standards for semiconductor components technology across Google. You will play a crucial role in improving the quality of semiconductor components during New Product Introduction and maintaining it throughout the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include tracking component failures and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.

You will work cross-functionally to define and ensure processes are in place to provide the necessary data for managing quality and reliability. Regularly interfacing with suppliers, you will resolve issues and drive return material authorizations (RMA), corrective action requests, and failure analysis. Additionally, you will lead the management of Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and drive appropriate evaluation and qualification with engineering teams.
