MIND (Machine Intelligence for Networks and Devices) team within OpsTech Infrastructure Engineering (OTIE) organization is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the AI/ML arm for the organization. This team will leverage the power of machine learning to solve complex network management problems, ultimately to improve customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with applied scientists on developing algorithms and scaling machine learning models.
- Develop and maintain platforms for the development, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models and LLMs for real-world applications
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems using GenAI and ML
- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

About the team
MIND team is based out of Austin. Our Vision is to enable OTIE to provide the world’s most reliable and available network for WW Ops through self-aware, intent-driven, and autonomous AI/ML systems that deliver resilience at scale- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
- Experienced in building large scale AI and ML infrastructure- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with running A/B tests in production and knowledge of causal inference and other modern machine learning techniques
