Google is seeking a Software Engineer III for their Infrastructure team to develop large-scale systems and distributed technologies. You'll work with C++, Python, and Go to enhance Google Cloud Storage. This position requires 2 years of relevant experience.
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 2 years of experience programming in C++, Python, or Go. Your background includes developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you have experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You may also hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields, which is preferred. You are familiar with performance analysis, large-scale systems data analysis, and visualization tools, and you have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms from either an academic or industry setting. Your experience developing accessible technologies is a plus, and you are proficient in diagnosing and resolving code and system health issues, as well as software test engineering.
As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of Google Cloud Storage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that handle massive amounts of data. Your role will involve debugging and triaging product or system issues, analyzing their sources, and understanding their impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
