Workato is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to optimize data systems and enhance performance. You'll work with Java and Ruby on Rails to design and manage data-intensive infrastructure. This role requires strong collaboration skills and experience in distributed teams.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that handle complex data workflows. Your expertise in Java allows you to design high-performance APIs, and you understand the intricacies of optimizing queries and data layouts for efficiency. You are comfortable collaborating in distributed international teams and possess strong communication skills, especially in English.
You stand out if you have experience designing usage and billing systems, as well as familiarity with data quality frameworks. Your background in managing data-intensive infrastructure will be invaluable in this role. Additionally, experience with Ruby on Rails will set you apart, as you will be working with various technologies to enhance our platform's capabilities.
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Workato, you will be responsible for optimizing our data systems to ensure they meet the needs of our global customer base.
