Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or quantitative analysis related fields. Your programming skills and proficiency in SQL are essential for this role, enabling you to manipulate and analyze data effectively. A Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, showcasing your commitment to deepening your expertise in this area.

Your experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker demonstrates your ability to present data in a meaningful way. You possess a solid understanding of finance processes, data disciplines, and terminology, which allows you to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various teams, including Engineering and Data Science. You thrive in environments with ambiguity and are adept at navigating complex situations to deliver actionable insights.

What you'll do

As part of the Finance Business Intelligence team at Google, you will use data to inform business and product decisions across the company. Your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity will be crucial as you build tools to automate reporting and generate insights that allow clients to quickly and accurately assess the performance of key business products and processes. You will manage finance systems projects, focusing on providing business intelligence and data-driven insights through reporting.

You will be involved in projects from inception to delivery, ensuring that your reporting delivers high-quality and relevant data to intelligently grow our business. Your extensive knowledge of key financial systems, such as Oracle and Hyperion, will be invaluable as you work with a range of business intelligence tools and platforms. You will lead release schedules and milestones throughout all stages of a project’s life cycle, coordinating across multiple teams at Google to ensure the successful delivery of data products and solutions.

Maintaining development practices will be part of your responsibilities, including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation and execution, issue identification and resolution, and writing modular and self-sustaining code. Your role will require you to collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the insights generated are actionable and aligned with business objectives.
