Job Description

As an Engineering Program Specialist you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and develop innovative consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The Engineering program management group in Hardware Engineering is looking for an individual who wants to work on a cool products that are growing at a rapid pace. We are a critical part of the hardware development process. The Engineering Program Specialist will ensure ongoing support, help grow the capabilities of our current processes to meet our needs, and drive continuous improvement. While your primary responsibility will be to support the Technical Program Manager, you will also work with a cross-functional team that includes Engineering, Product Management, Operations, etc. Some specific examples of the Program Manager responsibilities will include driving product requirements, coordinating engineering builds at suppliers, maintaining program budget and purchase orders, getting approvals for key project milestones, etc.
In this role, you will:

- Deliver results on moderately-complex medium to large scale projects involving teams across the company
- Work with stakeholders to define and document business requirements. Coordinate with engineering teams to create responses to the business requirements and drive cross-functional specifications.
- Lead weekly build readiness meeting with Contract Manufacturing, Engineering, and Materials Procurement teams.
- Track prototype device allocation.
- Create and structure Bill of Materials (BOM) and communicate new part numbers to internal teams, and with the Contract Manufacturer.
- Write Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in Agile and manage changes to the BOMs.
- Drive continuous improvements.- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines
- Experience in balancing conflicting priorities dealing with ambiguity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
