You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong focus on security practices in cloud environments. Your background includes hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP, allowing you to design and implement robust security solutions tailored for cloud platforms. You are comfortable mentoring junior engineers, guiding them through complex security challenges while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Your expertise in automation and monitoring tools enables you to build efficient solutions for real-time security monitoring, logging, and alerting. You understand the nuances of cloud security posture management (CSPM) and have experience evaluating and implementing cloud-native security tools. You thrive in a hands-on role, tackling technical challenges and contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Your ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key asset. You are proactive in identifying potential security risks and implementing measures to mitigate them, ensuring the integrity and security of the infrastructure.
Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as OWASP is a plus. Familiarity with incident response and threat modeling will further enhance your contributions to the team. As a Senior or Staff Site Reliability Engineer on the InfraSec team, you will lead the design and deployment of security solutions for our cloud platforms. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards. You will be involved in building essential security infrastructure and implementing controls that reinforce the platform’s security posture.
You will help automate security monitoring processes, leveraging native cloud services and third-party tools to enhance our security capabilities. Your role will also involve evaluating and managing cloud-native security tools for endpoint security and identity management. You will work closely with your team to develop best practices for security implementation and incident response, ensuring that our systems remain resilient against potential threats.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will mentor a small team of SREs, providing guidance and support as they navigate their own projects. You will foster a culture of learning and collaboration, encouraging team members to share knowledge and best practices. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the team's approach to security and reliability.
MongoDB offers a competitive salary range of $147,000—$289,000 USD for this role, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, and mental health counseling.
