Relativity is seeking a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Tooling and Factory Automation team in Long Beach, California. You'll be responsible for designing tools and fixtures that enable the production of the Terran R rocket. This role requires expertise in mechanical design and proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical design engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Your expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks allows you to create detailed designs and specifications for tooling and fixtures. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet production requirements and timelines. You are adept at problem-solving and enjoy tackling complex engineering challenges that arise during the design and manufacturing processes. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member. You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies.

Desirable

Experience with factory automation and knowledge of manufacturing processes are highly desirable. Familiarity with materials used in aerospace applications will give you an edge in this role. What you'll do

As a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Relativity, you will play a crucial role in the Tooling and Factory Automation team.
