Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to manage electrical and mechanical infrastructure in data centers. You'll work with systems like UPS, generators, and cooling systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and problem-solving skills.
You are a highly driven individual with a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical infrastructure. You thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex issues related to systems such as diesel generators, switchgear, and cooling systems. You demonstrate initiative and proactively seek solutions to problems, ensuring the highest standards for safety and operational excellence. You have a keen understanding of data center operations and are committed to delivering 100% uptime for customer-supporting infrastructure. You are comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders to drive continuous improvement efforts and standardize procedures. Your ability to manage critical switching activities and perform preventive maintenance makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure. You will conduct frequent site interventions and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure optimal performance. Your responsibilities will include driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies. You will collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers. You will also be accountable for maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedures. Your role will require you to enable the operations organization to deliver 100% uptime on all customer-supporting infrastructure, ensuring that preventive maintenance is conducted effectively.
