Site Reliability Engineering Manager, Consumer Apps

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of managing high-impact systems that prioritize reliability and performance. Your technical expertise includes cloud platforms like AWS, containerization with Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes. You are proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python and Java, enabling you to automate processes and improve system efficiency.

You possess a deep understanding of Linux systems and have experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform. Your knowledge of compliance standards such as SOC2 and PCI is essential for maintaining security and reliability in financial services. You are a strong communicator and collaborator, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

What you'll do

As the Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of SREs focused on building and maintaining the reliability of Klover’s consumer applications. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust systems that can handle high traffic and ensure seamless user experiences. You will oversee the development of CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid deployment while maintaining system integrity.

You will collaborate with engineering teams across backend, frontend, and data science to integrate services and optimize performance. Your role will involve capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure that systems can scale effectively as user demand grows. You will also implement best practices for incident response and disaster recovery, ensuring that the team is prepared for any challenges that arise.

In addition to technical leadership, you will be responsible for mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. You will work closely with product teams to align engineering efforts with business goals, ensuring that the systems you build support Klover’s mission of providing accessible financial services.
