Datadog is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for their Cloud Security Platform to build and operate distributed, high-throughput, real-time data pipelines. You'll work with Java, Go, and other technologies to enhance security solutions. This role requires significant experience in software engineering.
You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience, along with significant experience in software engineering. You possess deep expertise in Java and Go, and you are comfortable using Python or other languages as needed. Your background includes building and operating distributed, high-throughput, real-time data pipelines, and you have a strong understanding of data security principles. You thrive in collaborative environments and value the importance of teamwork in achieving shared goals. You are pragmatic, honest, and committed to simplicity in solving complex problems. You are eager to innovate and deliver new features that meet customer needs, and you are excited about the opportunity to grow with the company.
In this role, you will build and operate distributed, high-throughput, real-time data pipelines that are critical to the Cloud Security Platform. You will utilize Java and Go for development, while also incorporating Python or other languages as necessary. Your work will involve using Kafka and Elasticsearch, along with other open-source components, to enhance the functionality and performance of our security products. You will own meaningful parts of our service, ensuring that they are robust and scalable. You will collaborate closely with DevOps and security teams to ensure that our solutions effectively secure customer data, infrastructure, and applications. As part of the Cloud Security team, you will contribute to the continuous innovation and improvement of our products, helping to shape the future of security in the cloud.
