Affirm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance platform reliability and incident management. You'll work with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure application performance and resilience. This role requires strong experience in SRE practices and distributed systems.
You have 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field, with a strong background in building and maintaining reliable systems. Your expertise in cloud platforms like AWS and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes allows you to effectively manage and scale applications. You are proficient in scripting and automation, particularly with Python, which you use to streamline operations and improve system reliability. Your experience with incident management and change management processes enables you to guide teams in best practices for operational excellence. You understand the importance of observability and have implemented monitoring solutions that provide visibility into application performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, engaging with engineering teams to foster a culture of reliability and resilience.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. You have a solid understanding of Linux systems and can troubleshoot issues effectively. Knowledge of chaos engineering principles and practices would be beneficial in this role.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Affirm, you will lead efforts to define and implement frameworks for operating applications effectively. You will provide data and visibility to teams regarding application performance, guiding the development of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) that align with business goals.
