Illumio is seeking a Developer Documentation Specialist to enhance API documentation and ensure clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll work closely with the engineering team and utilize skills in Markdown and REST API documentation.
You have a strong background in technical writing, particularly in creating and maintaining API documentation. Your experience allows you to identify gaps in existing documentation and propose improvements that enhance clarity and usability for developers and non-technical stakeholders alike. You are familiar with best practices in technical writing and understand the importance of consistency across documentation resources. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and feedback. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for explaining complex technical concepts in a way that is accessible to a broad audience. You are proactive in seeking out information and are comfortable working independently while also being a team player.
In this role, you will review existing API documentation to identify areas for improvement and ensure that all technical details are well-explained. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team to gather insights and updates on API changes, ensuring that documentation is always current and accurate.
