Flex is hiring a Software Engineer I for their Risk Engineering team to develop services and APIs for risk decisioning and fraud prevention. You'll work with Java, Spring Boot, and TypeScript, and this position is ideal for new graduates.
You are a recent graduate eager to kickstart your career in software engineering, particularly in the FinTech space. You have a foundational understanding of Java and Spring Boot, and you're excited to learn more about backend development. Your experience with TypeScript and frameworks like React or React Native will help you contribute to user-facing applications. You thrive in collaborative environments and are keen to work closely with experienced engineers to enhance your skills. As a Software Engineer I on the Risk Engineering team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining backend services and APIs that support real-time risk decisioning and fraud prevention. You will collaborate with product and design teams to develop user-facing features that enhance the customer experience. Your work will involve writing clean, efficient code in Java using the Spring Boot framework, ensuring that the services you develop are robust and scalable. You will also engage in developing features using TypeScript with React and/or React Native, focusing on risk-related flows across web and mobile platforms. Throughout your journey, you will receive mentorship from seasoned engineers, allowing you to grow your technical skills and understanding of the FinTech landscape. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions, helping to shape the direction of the projects you work on. Your contributions will play a crucial role in empowering renters with flexibility over their financial commitments.
