Overview

NICE is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to enhance their omni-channel communication platform. You'll be responsible for writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality code while collaborating with teams across the UK and US. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in software testing.

Who you are

You have at least 5 years of experience in testing roles within software engineering teams, demonstrating a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies. Your hands-on experience with Playwright showcases your ability to write automated tests that ensure code quality and coverage. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, actively participating in Scrum ceremonies and contributing to low-level design definitions. Your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including those based in the UK and US.

You are committed to adhering to internal guidelines and industry best practices, ensuring that applications are built to modern security standards. Your experience includes writing reusable code and libraries, as well as taking part in code reviews, both as a reviewer and reviewee. You understand the importance of documentation and maintain the required documentation to support your work.

Desirable

Experience with Agile delivery frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with various applications and services in the communication domain. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, continuously seeking to improve your skills and contribute to the team's success.

What you'll do

In this role, you will write, test, and maintain code that adheres to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for delivering features independently while ensuring that they meet the required quality benchmarks. Your contributions will include writing automated tests to ensure that the code has the appropriate level of test coverage, which is critical for maintaining the integrity of the software.

You will actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and receiving feedback on your own work. This collaborative approach will help foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will also contribute to low-level design definitions, ensuring that the architecture of the applications supports scalability and maintainability.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will engage in extensive collaboration with colleagues from different regions, particularly the UK and US. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines. You will also participate in team Scrum ceremonies, helping to drive the Agile process forward and ensuring that the team remains focused on delivering high-quality software.
