Overview

Amazon is seeking a Principal Compensation Consultant to lead the executive compensation strategy and execution on a global scale. You'll partner with senior leaders to develop competitive compensation practices. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in compensation strategy.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in compensation consulting, particularly in executive compensation strategies. Your background includes working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement compensation frameworks that align with organizational goals. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to assess the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs. You are adept at balancing risk and reward in compensation practices, ensuring they are equitable and competitive in the market. You have a proactive approach to identifying compensation needs and addressing them in a timely manner. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including HR and executive recruiting teams, is a key strength. You are comfortable leading discussions and providing creative solutions to complex compensation issues.

Desirable

Experience in a large, global organization is a plus, as is familiarity with various compensation structures and practices. A background in data analysis or financial modeling can enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on special projects that require innovative thinking.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the executive compensation strategy for Amazon's diverse business units. You will partner with senior leaders in People Experience and Technology (HR), Executive Recruiting, and business leadership to develop compensation strategies that are aligned with Amazon's compensation philosophy. You will lead discussions with senior leaders to address compensation matters and ensure that the strategies implemented are effective and competitive. Your role will involve performing deep analysis on existing global compensation programs, assessing their effectiveness, and exploring potential alternatives. You will also be tasked with developing creative solutions to various compensation issues and managing ad hoc special compensation projects as they arise. Your work will contribute to driving operational excellence within the compensation function, ensuring that Amazon remains a competitive employer in the market.
