Google is seeking a Platforms and Devices Manager for Home Product Excellence to lead support experiences for Home products. You'll leverage AI and data analysis to drive product improvements and team development. This role requires 15 years of experience in product operations and 5 years in people management.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 15 years of experience in product operations, support, or a related field. Your background includes at least 5 years of experience in people management, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and team development. You possess a deep understanding of the Smart Home technology space and have experience developing and implementing strategies that leverage AI and AI-powered tools in a support context. You excel at translating data and user feedback into actionable product improvements and recommendations, demonstrating a proven track record of launching and supporting consumer hardware, software, or subscription products. You thrive in changing and ambiguous environments, leading cross-functional projects with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, and you are comfortable presenting to and influencing executive leadership.
As the gTech Users and Products Platforms and Devices Manager for Home Product Excellence, you will be a critical leader responsible for delivering support experiences for all of Google's Home products, features, and services. You will act as a consultant to Product teams, translating user feedback and support data into actionable insights that shape the future of our Home portfolio. Your role will require an in-depth understanding of the user journey, a passion for product quality, and the ability to lead a team with empathy and integrity in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. You will own the product excellence strategy and execution, ensuring flawless launches and driving long-term product decisions while securing resources for top user-reported issues. Building relationships with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams will be essential as you lead and mentor a team of Product Support Managers, fostering a user-centric culture. You will demonstrate a firm commitment to the career development of your direct reports through active coaching, mentorship, and creating growth opportunities.
