Job Description

Amazon Books is at the forefront of GenAI innovation. We're building innovative developer tools that leverage multimodal large language models to transform how UI changes are tested and validated across platforms. Our mission is to empower developers with next-generation tools that improve efficiency, quality, and creativity in the development process. We're not just using GenAI—we're defining how it will reshape development practices across Amazon and the industry.

As part of our team, you'll be an early adopter and ambassador for GenAI technologies, helping to shape how these tools are used across Amazon. You'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged and new ideas can quickly become reality. Your work will directly impact how developers across the organization build and validate customer experiences, being part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team .

Key job responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative tools for developers that harness the power of large language models to automate and enhance UI validation processes
- Create intuitive and frameworks that enable engineers to leverage GenAI for testing complex scenarios across web browsers, mobile apps, and e-readers
- Influence the direction of GenAI tool development through technical leadership and innovative thinking
- Implement professional software engineering practices & best practices throughout the development lifecycle while working in a rapidly evolving field
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Excellence in technical communication with scientists and engineers.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly large language models or generative AI
- Passion for developer tooling and improving engineering productivity
- Knowledge of UI testing methodologies and frameworks
