Overview

Paytm is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead the Merchant Lending business in Bangalore. You'll drive loan penetration and manage a field sales team to enhance revenue through strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills.

Who you are

You are an experienced Sales Leader with a proven track record in driving business growth and managing teams. With strong networking and relationship-building capabilities, you excel in engaging with merchants and channel partners to enhance business outcomes. You are willing to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet business objectives and foster relationships. Your coaching and mentoring skills enable you to lead a diverse team effectively, ensuring high productivity and compliance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for growing Merchant Lending penetration and overall credit distribution in your assigned geography. You will drive visibility and deployment of various lending products, including Merchant Loans, BNPL, and QR-linked credit. Leading a strong field sales team, you will accelerate lending acquisition and cross-sell outputs, defining market size and metrics to maximize efficiency. You will ensure seamless communication of plans and targets, minimizing gaps between expectations and delivery. Monitoring and improving portfolio quality metrics will be crucial, as will conducting audits on loan files and sales processes. You will mentor and lead a large on-ground structure, ensuring that your team meets its goals and adheres to compliance standards.
