Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — your hands-on experience allows you to troubleshoot complex equipment effectively. You understand the importance of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure and are committed to ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise includes working with stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling systems — you are familiar with switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and centrifugal chillers. You have a keen eye for detail and are adept at identifying issues before they escalate, ensuring that systems remain operational and efficient. You are also comfortable collaborating with diverse teams, including software, hardware, and network engineers, to support the overall mission of maintaining high uptime for AWS data centers.
Experience with AWS infrastructure services is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to support the design, planning, delivery, and operation of global infrastructure. Familiarity with data center operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving will set you apart in this role.
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers — your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities. You will ensure that all electrical and mechanical systems are functioning optimally, contributing to our goal of achieving an extraordinary 99.999% uptime.
