Coupang is hiring a Staff Data Engineer for their Data Platform team to design and manage data marts and pipelines. You'll work with SQL, Redshift, and various big data platforms. This position requires over 8 years of experience in data engineering.
You have over 8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing principles. Your expertise in SQL allows you to write complex queries and optimize performance effectively. You have hands-on experience with one or more data warehouse platforms such as Redshift, Netezza, or Teradata, and you are familiar with open-source big data platforms like Hive and Spark. You excel in collaborating with various stakeholders to analyze business needs and lead data projects, ensuring that data-driven decisions are supported by robust data pipelines. Your ability to communicate effectively across departments enables you to define problems and propose solutions efficiently.
Experience with AWS services such as S3, EMR, and Redshift is a plus, as it enhances your capability to build scalable and reliable data solutions. You are proactive in monitoring data quality and automating pipeline operations, ensuring that data remains accurate and accessible for decision-making.
