Enviva is seeking an IT Tech Support I to provide first-line technology support for customers. You'll assist with software and hardware issues, ensuring a smooth operation of technology solutions. This role is ideal for those looking to start their career in IT support.
You are an entry-level IT professional eager to start your career in technology support. You have a strong desire to help others and provide solutions to technical issues. Your communication skills allow you to effectively interact with users, guiding them through troubleshooting processes. You are detail-oriented and capable of following instructions to resolve problems efficiently. You understand the importance of confidentiality and security in handling user inquiries. You are a team player, ready to collaborate with more experienced technicians to enhance your skills and knowledge.
While not required, any experience with customer service or technical support will be beneficial. Familiarity with common software and hardware issues will help you excel in this role. A basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting techniques is a plus, as is a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues. You will field support calls, chats, and emails, addressing inquiries related to software programming, connectivity, and printing. Your responsibilities will include identifying, investigating, and resolving user problems with computer software and hardware. You will guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, utilizing diagnostic tools and software as needed. You will consult with users to determine their hardware and software needs, ensuring that you provide tailored solutions. Collaboration with Level II and III technicians will be essential, as you will explain errors and recommend modifications to improve user experience. You will also document issues and resolutions to contribute to the knowledge base of the Technology Solution Center.
