SpaceX is seeking a Launch Pad Technician (Starship) to maintain mechanical and fluid systems for launch operations. You'll work with hydraulics, high-pressure nitrogen, and cryogenic systems at Cape Canaveral. This role is ideal for motivated mechanical technicians looking to contribute to space exploration.
You are a motivated and energetic mechanical technician with a passion for space exploration. You have experience maintaining mechanical and fluid systems, particularly in high-pressure environments. You demonstrate personal initiative and maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations. You are responsible and conscientious about the quality of your work, always looking for ways to improve processes and streamline tasks. You thrive in team settings, collaborating effectively with engineers and fellow technicians to ensure the highest quality standards are met. As a Launch Pad Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the Starship Tower and Launch Mount mechanical and fluid systems in preparation for launch operations. This includes fabricating and installing fluid system components from schematics or engineering drawings, such as ball valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and pressure gauges. You will troubleshoot operational issues during the activation of fluid and mechanical systems, ensuring that every system is built to support successful launches. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers, contributing to the overall mission of enabling human life on Mars. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying potential improvements and cost-saving measures in the maintenance processes.
