Overview

Lyft is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their Business Travel team. You'll build and improve features across mobile, web, and backend systems. This role requires experience with JavaScript, React, and Node.js.

You have a solid background in full-stack development, with experience building applications that span mobile, web, and backend technologies. You understand the importance of writing clean, maintainable code and are committed to delivering high-quality software that meets user needs. You are comfortable launching experiments, analyzing outcomes, and iterating based on data-driven insights. You have a knack for writing comprehensive technical specifications and conducting meaningful code reviews that help elevate the team's overall performance. You are eager to contribute to improving development processes and tools at Lyft, ensuring that the team can work efficiently and effectively.

Desirable

Experience with corporate travel solutions or similar domains would be a plus. Familiarity with expense integration systems and backend services is also desirable. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your skill set and contribute to the team's success.

What you'll do

As a Full Stack Engineer at Lyft, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing features for the Business Travel team. You will work on the rider app, the Lyft Business Portal, and backend services that manage various functionalities such as receipt forwarding and expense code management. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless experiences for users. Your role will involve writing simple, readable, and reusable code while ensuring comprehensive testing of functionality and performance. You will participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and helping to maintain high standards of code quality. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of tools and processes that improve the overall efficiency of the engineering team.
