Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong focus on optimizing training runtime performance and input pipelines. Your background includes working with large-scale machine learning models and you understand the intricacies of model training, evaluation, and distillation workflows. You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, which you have used to build and optimize machine learning models. You are familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling you to deploy and manage machine learning applications effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with ML practitioners and infrastructure teams to understand their needs and integrate optimized solutions seamlessly into their workflows. You are adept at diagnosing performance bottlenecks and have a track record of implementing solutions that enhance resource utilization and ensure consistent, reproducible model training outcomes.

Desirable

Experience with MLflow for managing the machine learning lifecycle is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP for deploying machine learning solutions. What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the overall ML Infrastructure strategy, focusing on optimizing training runtime efficiency and input pipelines. You will collaborate with ML practitioners to understand their needs and integrate optimized input pipelines into their workflows. Your responsibilities will include detecting, diagnosing, and resolving performance bottlenecks across training, evaluation, and model distillation workflows. You will work on optimizing training performance and resource utilization, ensuring that model training outcomes are consistent and reproducible. You will also be involved in developing best practices for model training and evaluation, contributing to the continuous improvement of the ML Infrastructure team.
