Who you are

You are currently pursuing a degree in Information Sciences and Technology, technical writing, or a related field, having completed at least two years of college-level coursework. You possess strong written communication skills, enabling you to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Your experience with SQL and JavaScript allows you to understand technical content and contribute to documentation updates. You have an aptitude for quickly learning new software applications, which will help you adapt to Minitab's product ecosystem. You are organized and possess strong time management skills, allowing you to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. You can work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating your ability to take initiative and manage your workload efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Teams, is essential for your role in supporting the Information Development team.

What you'll do

As an Information Development Intern at Minitab, you will assist in updating help topics to reflect new designs and improvements in the software. You will perform a variety of technical support duties to aid the Information Development staff, contributing to the overall quality of technical documentation. Your role may involve collaborating with software engineers, quality engineers, and designers to ensure that the documentation meets the needs of customers. You will also assist with special projects as assigned, gaining valuable experience in technical writing and documentation processes. This internship provides an opportunity to learn about the technical writing field while contributing to the creation of user-friendly content that enhances the customer experience with Minitab's software.
