Amazon is hiring a Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to support the production of low Earth orbit satellites for its Leo broadband network. You'll be responsible for assembling and testing various components, ensuring quality and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
You are a detail-oriented technician with experience in assembly and testing of complex systems. You thrive in a hands-on role where safety and quality are paramount, and you are motivated by the challenge of building innovative technology from the ground up. You understand the importance of manufacturability and throughput in production environments and are committed to delivering high-quality results. You are comfortable working with electrical-mechanical assemblies and have a strong focus on executing tasks with precision. You are proactive in identifying issues and are dedicated to maintaining high standards in all aspects of your work.
Experience with avionic LRUs, fiber optics, and PCBAs is a plus. Familiarity with preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. A background in satellite technology or telecommunications can provide valuable context for your work.
In this role, you will champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed diligently. You will assemble and test an assortment of avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies, with a strong emphasis on detail and quality. Your responsibilities will include handling and installing fiber optics and PCBAs, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining and calibrating lab equipment, supporting preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems. Your ability to identify and troubleshoot issues will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the production process.
