Senior DevOps Engineer

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE roles, demonstrating a strong hands-on capability in running Kubernetes on-premises in production environments. Your expertise includes deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters at enterprise scale, ensuring that you can handle the complexities of large-scale systems. You are well-versed in automation, observability, performance tuning, and security practices, which are essential for maintaining a reliable platform. Your knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC and network policies, ensures that you can implement robust security measures. You thrive in a team-first culture that values diversity and inclusion, and you are eager to contribute to a collaborative environment.

Desirable

Experience with additional tools and technologies related to cloud infrastructure and monitoring will be beneficial. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters on-premises, ensuring they are optimized for performance on bare-metal hardware. You will automate the cluster lifecycle and application management using tools like Terraform and Helm, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Your role will also involve implementing Kubernetes security best practices to safeguard the platform against potential threats. You will build monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana, enabling proactive management of the infrastructure. Additionally, you will contribute to incident response efforts and participate in postmortems, helping to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall reliability. Your work will directly impact the customer experience by ensuring that the platform is reliable and ready for mission-critical workloads.
