Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience, and at least 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function. With a strong foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), particularly in Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting, you have honed your skills in a public accounting or multinational company setting. Your experience includes creating accounting memos, process documentation, and presentations, showcasing your ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Your advanced knowledge in the interpretation and application of accounting principles and practices allows you to navigate ambiguity with ease. You possess excellent business acumen skills and can present data clearly, making you a valuable asset to any team. You thrive in collaborative environments, working seamlessly with cross-functional and international teams to achieve common goals.

You are detail-oriented and have a knack for problem-solving, always looking for ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within your team. Your ability to lead an accounting process from end-to-end ensures that you can manage responsibilities with confidence and precision.

Desirable

Experience with automation tools and processes is a plus, as it aligns with your goal of streamlining accounting functions. Familiarity with financial reporting requirements and the ability to advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will handle core accounting responsibilities at Google, advising on financial reports and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, providing insights that support business objectives. Your collaborative style will enable you to work effectively with Sales, Product, Engineering, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), and other cross-functional teams, ensuring that accounting implications are considered in product launches and changes in business operations.

You will lead accounting processes from end-to-end, centralizing, eliminating, automating, or outsourcing activities as necessary. Your ability to understand and present data will be crucial in guiding decision-making and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will also be responsible for creating accounting memos and process documentation, contributing to the team's knowledge base and best practices.
