Uber is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant to oversee the accounting processes for their Delivery business, focusing on Grocery & Retail. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance and streamline reporting. This role requires significant experience in accounting.
You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience, particularly in revenue operations. You are skilled in preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and you have a keen eye for analyzing financial results and variances. Your ability to partner with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will work closely with Revenue Operations, Tax, Finance, and other departments to support new product launches and business model changes. You are proactive in leading process improvement initiatives and have experience in automating accounting processes. Your understanding of internal controls and compliance is robust, ensuring that all accounting practices meet regulatory standards.
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end accounting process for high-value merchant sign-on and retention incentives. You will prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Analyzing monthly financial results and investigating discrepancies will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with the Global Business Service team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will lead critical accounting projects, ensuring that new products and business initiatives are scalable and compliant. Your role will involve documenting internal controls and enhancing existing processes to improve overall efficiency.
