Dropbox is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy for Dropbox Business 2.0, focusing on collaboration and team experiences. This role requires strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
You have extensive experience in product management, particularly in leading portfolio strategies for collaboration tools. Your background includes working with small and medium-sized businesses, understanding their unique needs, and translating those into actionable product features. You excel at aligning multiple teams—engineering, design, and research—toward a common vision, ensuring that all aspects of the product ecosystem work together seamlessly. You are adept at using data to inform decisions and prioritize initiatives that drive growth and user satisfaction. Your ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, is a key strength, allowing you to advocate for your product vision effectively.
You are familiar with the SMB collaboration landscape, including productivity and project management tools, and understand how to position a differentiated offering in a competitive market. You are skilled in leading discovery and validation processes, ensuring that the features you develop meet real user needs and deliver value. Your experience includes crafting multi-year roadmaps that align with business objectives and drive product evolution. You are a champion for the customer, always seeking to understand their pain points and validate solutions through iterative testing.
Experience with data-informed prioritization and success metrics is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. You may have a background in user research or design, which would enhance your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A track record of delivering growth outcomes in previous roles will set you apart as a candidate.
In this role, you will own the portfolio strategy for Dropbox’s Teams & Collaboration experience, setting the vision and crafting a multi-year roadmap that aligns various product streams. You will lead the evolution of collaboration at Dropbox, ensuring that the system fits together coherently and delivers compounding value for teams. Your responsibilities will include driving execution at scale, translating strategy into clear milestones, and unblocking teams to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
You will partner closely with Research, Design, Data, and Support teams to deeply understand the needs of SMB teams and validate solutions through iterative testing. Your role will involve orchestrating cross-functional alignment, building partnerships with Engineering Directors and Design leads, and coordinating with other platform groups to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly across surfaces. You will also work with activation and expansion owners to deliver growth outcomes, focusing on seamless team creation, sharing, and security/privacy.
Dropbox offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $244,800—$331,200 USD depending on your location within the US.
