You are a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in SEC reporting and technical accounting. With a proven track record in managing external financial reporting processes, you have a deep understanding of US GAAP and SEC requirements. You thrive in a rapidly scaling, publicly traded environment and are adept at leading teams through complex financial transactions and new accounting standards.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including the Corporate Controller and other senior leaders. Your analytical mindset allows you to research and document complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial reports. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Desirable

Experience in a technology or gaming company is a plus, as is familiarity with the unique challenges of financial reporting in a digital environment. You may also have a CPA designation or equivalent qualifications, further enhancing your expertise in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the end-to-end preparation, review, and timely filing of all external financial reports, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q. You will ensure that all financial statements are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will manage the quarterly earnings cycle, coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information and insights.

You will serve as the internal expert on technical accounting, leading the research, documentation, and implementation of complex, non-routine transactions. This includes staying updated on new accounting standards and ensuring that the company adheres to these changes. You will also provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization, helping them navigate technical accounting issues as they arise.

Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of compliance and accuracy within the finance team. You will mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their roles. You will also collaborate closely with external auditors and regulatory bodies, maintaining strong relationships to facilitate smooth audits and compliance checks.
