Overview

Amazon is hiring an Operations Engineer for their AMZL Start-Up Execution team to lead cross-functional projects in supply chain management. You have a strong background in operations engineering with experience in managing complex projects. You are customer-obsessed and thrive in cross-functional environments, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Your analytical skills allow you to dive deep into systems performance, identifying areas for improvement and simplifying processes to enhance efficiency. You have a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating your ability to prioritize and execute effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects, focusing on the development and delivery of innovative sortation and distribution solutions. You will actively participate in engineering reviews, providing insights that shape the proposed solutions. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing the facility network infrastructure, which encompasses new builds, retrofits, and expansions. You will work independently with various teams to ensure that projects meet their objectives and targets, acting as the owner of project outcomes. You will analyze systems performance and provide technical expertise to internal customers and stakeholders, ensuring that all contracted resources adhere to schedule, budgetary, and safety standards. Your role will require you to engage with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely handovers of project deliverables.
