Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Electrical Engineer - Automation & Controls to design and activate hardware and software systems for the Starship production line. You'll work with AutoCAD and LabVIEW to develop automated solutions. This role requires hands-on experience in electrical engineering.

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and activating hardware and software systems. Your expertise includes creating electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics, and you are familiar with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliance standards. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

You possess a solid understanding of automation and controls, having worked on various automated solutions in production settings. Your experience includes conceptual development of equipment, balancing product specifications with process requirements, and ensuring that all designs meet stringent safety and operational standards. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for problem-solving, which allows you to tackle complex engineering challenges effectively.

You are proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD and LabVIEW, which you utilize to create detailed schematics and control panel layouts. Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle. You are passionate about advancing technology and are excited about the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects at SpaceX.

Desirable

Experience with industrial automation systems and familiarity with robotics would be a plus.
