You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing complex systems that require high reliability and performance. Your background includes working with simulation technologies and understanding the intricacies of autonomous systems. You are proficient in Python and C++, and you have a solid grasp of machine learning principles that can be applied to real-world scenarios. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify and solve problems effectively. As a Staff Software Engineer at Waymo, you will oversee the development and administration of the “virtual driver’s test” system, which is crucial for evaluating software reliability before deployment. Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $238,000—$302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
