Overview

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of closing experience, ideally with a mix of field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1M, operating with an average deal size of $100k or more. You possess a strong ability to prospect and build relationships, demonstrating resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions. Your intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation sets you apart. You understand the importance of maintaining and building specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will develop a deep comprehension of your customers' businesses, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency. Your responsibilities will include negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into your assigned territory. Your ability to identify a robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities will be crucial to your success. You will also be expected to maintain a collaborative office culture that values relationships and creativity, as Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace to support work-life harmony.
