Google is seeking a Data Center Energy Strategic Negotiator I to manage projects and negotiate business agreements in European power markets. You'll leverage your knowledge of corporate finance and energy technologies to support Google's infrastructure growth across London, Paris, and Dublin.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience managing projects or supporting the planning and development of business agreements. Your background includes experience in European power markets, particularly in wholesale and retail, or carbon-free energy technologies. You possess a solid understanding of core corporate and project finance concepts, including cost of capital, net present value, and financial ratios. Your ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed complements your excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, allowing you to coordinate effectively with both energy experts and non-experts on projects requiring inputs from multiple teams. You also have excellent quantitative and advanced modeling skills, which are essential for this role.
As a Data Center Energy Strategic Negotiator I at Google, you will work behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future, negotiating cost-effective solutions that support the company's growth. You will collaborate with specific project teams to negotiate deals, manage vendor and partner relationships, and present deal recommendations to Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations will have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business. You will interface with a variety of team members, including portfolio managers, analytics experts, and cross-company partner teams such as engineering, finance, legal, and accounting. Additionally, you will develop and lead agreement approvals, investment memos, and other transaction-related materials with executives and partner teams.
