Waymo is seeking a Silicon Emulation Engineer to collaborate with design, verification, and software teams on simulating future silicon designs. You'll work with Embedded Linux, C, C++, and Python in a hybrid work environment based in Taipei or Hsinchu.
You have a strong background in silicon emulation and are familiar with the intricacies of hardware-software integration. Your experience with Embedded Linux allows you to navigate complex systems effectively, and your proficiency in C and C++ enables you to contribute to low-level programming tasks. You are also comfortable using Python for scripting and automation, which enhances your ability to simulate and test silicon designs. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. In this role, you will collaborate with the Design, Verification, and Software teams to simulate future silicon designs and software on an emulation platform. Your work will involve developing and optimizing system-level compute architectures that push the boundaries of performance, power, and latency. You will be responsible for ensuring that the emulation platform accurately reflects the intended silicon designs, allowing for effective testing and validation of software components. You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging processes, identifying issues and implementing solutions to enhance the overall performance of the emulation environment. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the development of high-performance custom silicon for autonomous vehicles, directly impacting the success of Waymo's mission to improve mobility and safety.
