As an Engineering Operations Technician, you are a critical guardian of technological infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. You have hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, and you are familiar with maintaining and operating mission-critical facilities. Your expertise contributes directly to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, keeping the digital world running smoothly and efficiently.

You possess a strong understanding of three-phase electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and wet cell batteries. You are also knowledgeable about stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, as well as cooling systems such as centrifugal chillers and cooling towers. Your background in electrical and mechanical engineering equips you with the skills necessary to tackle complex challenges in data center operations.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting Data Center Operations' mission-critical facilities. You will work with a variety of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Your hands-on approach will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues that may arise, allowing for minimal downtime and maximum reliability.

You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement best practices for equipment maintenance and operational procedures. Your role will involve regular inspections and testing of systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. You will also participate in the development of operational guidelines and procedures to enhance the efficiency of data center operations.

As part of your responsibilities, you will monitor system performance and report any anomalies to the engineering team. You will assist in the planning and execution of maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is serviced regularly and remains in optimal condition. Your contributions will directly impact the overall performance and reliability of the data center, making you a vital part of the team.
