SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician (A&P) to integrate secondary structures, avionics, and propulsion components for the Starship. You'll work with precision tools and collaborate with engineers to ensure timely production. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 1 year of experience with propulsion, mechanical, automotive, electrical, or avionics hardware installation. You are familiar with precision calibrated tools and have hands-on experience with both large and small fragile assemblies. You can read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions, and you perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions. You are capable of collaborating with production engineers to develop and document integration processes, ensuring all production services are performed on time, safely, and professionally.
Having an FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license is a plus, as is experience in the aerospace industry or with similar hardware installations. You are comfortable operating personnel platforms such as boom lifts and scissor lifts, and you have a keen understanding of pneumatic and avionics checkout activities.
As an Integration Technician, you will be responsible for the integration of all secondary structures, avionics, and stage propulsion components and systems to the vehicle’s primary structure. You will stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware, using precision calibrated tools to ensure accuracy and safety. Your role will involve heavy rigging for large assemblies and performing fluids and pneumatic testing to validate system integrity. You will collaborate closely with production engineers to develop and document integration processes, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
