You have a solid background in infrastructure engineering, with experience in building and optimizing systems that support large-scale applications. Your expertise in languages such as Python, Go, C++, or Java allows you to tackle complex challenges and contribute to the technological backbone of Dropbox's platform. You understand operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networks, and compilers, and you have a proven track record of delivering well-scoped projects. You are comfortable defining solutions for ambiguous problems and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change.
Familiarity with Semaphores and Mutexes is a plus, as it demonstrates your understanding of concurrency and resource management in systems programming. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of Dropbox's infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for building infrastructure capable of managing metadata for hundreds of billions of files and handling hundreds of petabytes of user data.
