Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong passion for quality and a keen eye for detail — you thrive in environments where you can ensure that materials meet the highest standards. As a Lead Quality Inspector, you will manage a team of inspectors, guiding them to conduct thorough inspections of raw, in-process, and finished goods. Your experience in quality control will enable you to read and interpret technical data and specifications effectively, ensuring meaningful inspections and tests are performed. You are self-motivated and eager to contribute to a mission that matters, particularly in the public safety sector.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey quality standards and expectations clearly to your team. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and encourages team members to take ownership of their work. You understand the importance of adhering to laws, regulations, and ordinances, and you empower your team to do their best work while maintaining compliance with these standards.

Desirable

Experience with non-destructive and destructive testing methods is a plus, as is familiarity with using specialized equipment like Mark-10 for push and pull testing. A background in interpreting CAD drawings and technical specifications will further enhance your ability to conduct inspections effectively.

What you'll do

In your role as Lead Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for managing the workload of a team of inspectors on your shift. You will conduct routine and non-routine tests and inspections of materials to evaluate their quality and performance. This includes overseeing the inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure they meet Axon's quality standards. You will read and interpret technical data and specifications, utilizing your expertise to conduct meaningful inspections and tests.

You will perform push and pull testing using Mark-10 equipment to qualify parts and gather data for engineering purposes. Your role will also involve conducting both non-destructive and destructive testing on materials to ensure they meet the required specifications. You will collaborate closely with the Quality Control Supervisor to ensure that all inspections are conducted efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall quality assurance process at Axon.

What we offer

At Axon, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that values quality and safety. You will work in a fast-paced and meaningful environment where your contributions directly impact public safety. We offer a supportive culture that encourages professional growth and development, allowing you to expand your skills and advance your career in quality inspection. Join us in making a difference in society while working with a team that values collaboration and diverse perspectives.
