You have over 5 years of experience working with public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, and you understand the intricacies of cloud architecture and deployment. Your expertise extends to private cloud environments, particularly with OpenStack and VMware ESXi, allowing you to navigate complex infrastructures with ease. You are well-versed in Linux systems, specifically CentOS and Ubuntu, and can troubleshoot and optimize these environments effectively.

You possess a problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity, which drives you to seek innovative solutions in a collaborative team setting. Your experience includes designing, implementing, and automating large-scale distributed systems, ensuring high availability and efficiency. You thrive in environments that require quick thinking and adaptability, especially when monitoring production and development environments to enhance customer experiences.

Your ability to work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment is one of your key strengths. What you'll do

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Five9, you will play a crucial role in the design and automation of large-scale distributed systems. Your primary responsibility will be to build tools and automation that enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud contact center software. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that high-quality software is delivered rapidly and reliably.

Monitoring production and development environments will be a key part of your role, as you will implement preventive measures to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will work closely with delivery teams to identify software improvements that lead to higher availability and lower mean time to detection (MTTD). Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of our services, making you an integral part of our mission to bring joy to customer experiences.

You will also participate in an on-call rotation, providing support and troubleshooting during critical incidents. This aspect of the role requires a proactive approach to incident management and a commitment to maintaining system uptime. Your insights and recommendations will help shape our operational practices and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
