Overview

Suvoda is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate financial documentation. You'll be responsible for month-end close procedures and managing payroll-related queries. This role requires expertise in financial regulations and processes.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Your expertise in the clinical trial industry is a plus, as it allows you to navigate the complexities of financial documentation in a high-stakes environment. You understand the importance of accuracy and detail in financial reporting, and you are adept at using accounting software to track and record transactions.

You are familiar with month-end close procedures and have experience preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Your ability to manage payroll-related queries and issues demonstrates your strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You thrive in environments where you can apply your analytical skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Desirable

Experience with financial regulations specific to the clinical trial industry would be beneficial. Familiarity with accounting software and tools is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. You are proactive in identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner, ensuring that financial records are always up to date.

What you'll do

In this role, you will track and accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring that all documentation is detailed and precise. You will conduct month-end close procedures, preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy. Managing the Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIFF) will be part of your responsibilities, where you will ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of payroll-related queries.

You will execute costing processes for Pass Through Expenses, including Licensing, Localization, Cytel, Translations, and Hardware. Your role will require you to ensure accuracy in invoicing and compliance with financial policies and procedures. You will collaborate with various teams to understand the specificities of clinical trials and how they impact financial processes, ensuring that all actions taken do not alter critical data.
