Software Engineer, GDC Security Infrastructure

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in software development or 1 year with an advanced degree in an industry setting. Your background includes developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you are familiar with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You have experience in software development, implementation, and integration, particularly with Public Key Infrastructure. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields is preferred, along with experience in Backend, Cloud APIs, Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure Systems. You are knowledgeable about Intrusion Prevention Systems, Kubernetes, and virtualized systems, and you have a solid understanding of software engineering, algorithm design, implementation, and testing.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help ensure that Google's software and systems are designed and implemented to meet security standards. You will build and develop platform security infrastructure for the GDC product line and collaborate with various sub-teams in the GDC organization on joint projects. Your responsibilities will include resolving and supporting customer issues, as well as participating in all technical aspects of development, including design, implementation, unit testing, and integration. You will work closely with other engineers to develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect and interact with information. Your contributions will be crucial in handling information at massive scale and extending beyond web search.
