SpaceX is hiring a Test Equipment Technician (Fabrication & Support) to provide ground support equipment technician support. You'll be involved in building, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment related to the liquid oxygen pad and fuel pad. This role requires a high school diploma and relevant technical skills.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of experience in a technical support role. You are skilled in building, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, particularly in high-pressure systems and pumps. Your ability to collaborate with design engineers and document activities is essential. You understand the importance of following safety regulations and quality policies, ensuring that all materials are clean and inspected according to Clean for Oxygen Service Standards. You are proactive in developing novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operations.
In this role, you will provide ground support equipment technician support, which involves building, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves, and plumbing related to the liquid oxygen pad and fuel pad. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. Operating and maintaining hardware, high-pressure systems, and pumps will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with fabricating and repairing GSE hardware and equipment. You will collaborate with design engineers to develop and document GSE activities, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations and SpaceX procedures. Your role will also involve obtaining and maintaining licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required. You will perform a variety of related duties in support of engine testing and structural test stand programs, contributing to the overall success of SpaceX's mission.
