Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II to develop and operate cloud-scale Hybrid Networking services. You'll work with Azure technologies and networking solutions to empower customers in secure environments. This role requires experience in cloud services and networking.

Who you are

You have a solid background in software engineering, with experience in developing and deploying cloud-scale applications. Your expertise in C# and Azure allows you to build robust solutions that meet the needs of airgapped customers. You understand the importance of security and compliance in mission-critical environments, and you are eager to contribute to the development of hybrid networking services that enhance connectivity and application delivery.

You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges, and you are committed to continuous learning and improvement. You are passionate about leveraging technology to empower organizations and individuals to achieve more.

Desirable

Experience with networking technologies such as VPN, ExpressRoute, and application delivery services like Application Gateway is a plus. Familiarity with security services, including Bastion and Firewall, will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer II in the Cloud+AI Silver Team at Microsoft, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and operating hybrid networking services within an airgapped environment. You will design and implement solutions that provide best-in-class connectivity and security for our customers. Your work will directly impact the ability of organizations in regulated industries to leverage Azure services securely.

You will collaborate with other engineers to build critical network infrastructure that supports a wide range of Azure services. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will also engage in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production environments, ensuring that our services remain reliable and performant.

In addition to development tasks, you will contribute to the overall architecture and design of our systems, helping to shape the future of hybrid networking at Microsoft.
