Lumafield is hiring an IT Specialist to maintain and evolve core systems that support their hypergrowth hardtech startup. You'll work with Linux and networking technologies in Boston.
You have a solid background in IT support, with experience in maintaining and evolving IT infrastructure. You understand the importance of reliable systems in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working with workstations, networking, and in-office systems. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working closely with engineers to ensure that the IT infrastructure supports the company's growth.
You are familiar with on-premises server management and have experience with software that runs critical applications. Your technical skills include a strong understanding of Linux systems and networking principles. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
Experience in a startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with hardware used in manufacturing or engineering contexts. You are adaptable and willing to learn new technologies as the company evolves.
As an IT Specialist at Lumafield, you will own critical IT infrastructure, ensuring that workstations and networking systems are functioning optimally. You will collaborate with the Infrastructure Engineers to build and maintain on-premises servers that run the Voyager software, which is essential for the company's operations. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues, implementing upgrades, and ensuring that all systems are secure and efficient.
You will also be responsible for setting up new workstations for employees, ensuring that they have the tools they need to succeed from day one.
